Cool

What things, events, songs and so forth make you think of summer?

Here's the idea.
You post one in your replies.
Reply as many times as you want or until the thread seems kinda dead.

Pick a lyric, a song, a food, a drink, an event, something that you do every summer, anything that to you is summer related.

I'll go ahead and get it started.

A Summer song...

"Summertime Girls" by Y&T

Cool

Ok, I'll cheat and do two in a row.

An ice cream cone with that little drip of melted ice cream rolling down the side onto your hand...

Cool

C'mon everyone...

Sitting by the pool on a hot summer day sipping a margarita or a glass of lemonade. Maybe one of those country cocktails or an ice cold

The sound of all the air conditioners running and the sight of all the bigwigs at CG&E jumping for joy as they try to push through yet another electricity hike!!!!!!

You can smell fresh cut grass all year long in Florida. I know, I spend 33 years mowing it.

I will give you a three:

The June Dolphin run (Dolphin is what you northerners call Mahi Mahi).

Sargasso weed lines in the surf.

Portuguese Man of Wars on the beach.

Cool

Ok, lets get romantic.

A picnic basket, complete with the blanket.
A sunset and a chilled bottle of Chardonnay with assorted goodies.

How about a sunset on a porch swing for two with a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc?

Or even an afternoon lunch of salad, or fresh fruit and a bottle of Pinot Gris or Grigio.

Lobster, shrimp on the grill. Fresh fish....

GL, I thought for sure you'd go with "Summerwind" first LOL!

Maybe a little Beach Boys.
